Syntax Highlighting

NoteMaster highlights the programming language syntax. NoteMaster's syntax schemes are based on XML files, so it is easy to add your own programming language. NoteMaster already comes with syntax schemes for 12 popular programming languages (HTML, XML, C#, Java, C++, Visual Basic, NSIS, Perl, Python, PHP, LaTeX, Resources).

Eases Your Editing Work

NoteMaster precedes a new line automatically with the correct number of tabs by recognizing the code structure. Turn on Pretty Listing to have NoteMaster format your code lines automatically; in XML and HTML documents NoteMaster will automatically close tags with the appropriate ending tag. If you activate the Fixup Case option, NoteMaster will correct the text case of entered keywords according to the syntax scheme.

Just press Ctrl+Space to bring up a list of all words in the current document, so you don't have to remember every word you've already typed.

Numerous Editing Functions

The Edit menu provides you with a large variety of editing functions, yet it is clearly arranged. For instance, you can comment a code block, or complete a line by the rest of the previous line or open a selected filename, in each case by invoking only a single command.

Built-In Browser

NoteMaster comes with an integral browser, which you can use for displaying a preview of HTML documents, but also for e.g. reference sites.

The help system is also shown in the browser, making it convenient to switch between reading documentation and editing.

Unique "Locate" Dialog

The "Locate" dialog provides Find, Replace and Goto functionality in a single dialog. Simple regular expressions are supported.

Use the Incremental Search toolbar to find text without having to bring up any dialog.

Automation Features

With NoteMaster, it's easy to automate repetitive operations or to add functionality by writing VBScripts. NoteMaster comes with an integrated macro editor and some sample scripts.
